Commuter Rail Is NOT The Answer!

No Mica Pork for CSX
Orlando, FL

STOP THE CONGRESSMAN JOHN MICA - CSX - CFL PORK TRAIN NOW!!!

Anyone with a brain knows that this CFL commuter rail mega public works project (billion dollar boondoggle) is a Congressman John Mica scam to give money to his friends at CSX - free tracks for CSX - paid for by taxpayers.

All taxpayers should be outraged about this rail scam. Contact Congressman Mica and tell him to 1) fix the collapsing Interstate highway first - remember Minnesota?? and 2) Stop selling the Interstate highway system in order to fund a private corporations such as CSX (and Bombardier).

I have said it before....just watch, Congressman Mica will end up being a lobbyist for CSX and/or other transportation corporations. My guess...he has already been offered a multi-million dollar job!!!

Check out www.tollscreategridlock.org for more information on transportation, wreckless growth management and corruption by elected "servants".

Voters need to demand change now!!

Can you guess who wrote this?? Hint....NOT Alan Keen and/or the crooks of the OOCEA!

No Mica Pork for CSX
Orlando, FL

"There is no fix for the Interstate system. We keep building urban sprawl and non walkable communities. We will need wider highways to get the spawl livers to get to work 20 miles away. Build up downtown and alternate modes of transport form existing neighborhoods. Stop developing green sites, where their are no jobs or shopping!"

Sorry to have to tell you this, but it sounds like you have been mislead. In case you have never not heard the Mica CSX Pork story.....CFL needs rail so that those who live in Volusia country can work in Osceola county without driving on I-4. How do you like that for "urban sprawl"?? My thoughts.....why should all taxpayers pay to commute people from Daytona to Disney? If you want to live in Daytona and work in Orlando or Kissimmee, then go ahead, but don't ask the taxpayers to pay for it!!! Not to mention, 99.999999% of these commuters will never use the CFL rail. Additionally....you can be sure Mica will never use this rail system - except for a photo opp.

Let's be honest about Mica's goal. It is not to improve transportation in CFL. Have you asked Congressman Mica about the Feds decision to sell our Interstate infrastructure to Cintra-a-non-American corporation? This is related to the new "North American Union" that George Bush created in 2005 via the "Security Prosperity Partnership of North America". Furthermore...the Texas Super Highway is part of this "master plan".

Have you asked Congressman Mica any of these questions? I have and he won't answer. I wonder why?

So remind me again who Congressman Mica represents? There is no way he represents me or the people of Florida. He is just going for the pork and he does not care who or what he destroys along the way.

Sorry to have to break this news to you, but face it, Mica just wants the money for his friends and his new career as a lobbyist.

The Search for the Holy Rail

Rail transit systems all over the country are losing riders and hemorrhaging money, yet city governments keep building them.”
by Rachel DiCarlo 03/13/2003 12:00:00 AM

“IMAGINE THIS SCENARIO: The CEO of a large corporation calls a meeting of the board of directors to deal with a crisis: The business is losing four dollars for every dollar earned, much of the capacity goes unused, and the customer base, never large to begin with, is eroding at an alarming rate. The board huddles and after a lengthy session the solution emerges: Expand.” Report Card for Sound Transit “As reported below, Sound Transit has revised the Plan considerably since 1996. Without apology or explanation, the agency has ceased to make comparisons between ongoing performance and the original commitments made to voters. Costs have gone up, ridership results are much lower than planned in 1996, and the schedule for completion has slipped.”Click Link for PDF Report

Breach of Faith – Light Rail and Smart Growth in Charlotte

“This report analyzes current plans for development of the first corridor under the 2025 Plan, the South Corridor Light Rail Line and describes its impact on the balance of the system contained in the plan”.

Charlotte Light Rail: The Crooked, The Ignorant, and The Truthful
November 13, 2004

THE DOLLAR AND THE GUN AND THE IGNORANT

“The price tag for the South Corridor alone is $371 million and is but a fraction of the overall bill to construct Charlotte's new mass transit system, which will have spokes running from downtown to five different points on the perimeter of the city's sprawling development. Current cost estimates for the entire project range as high as $6 billion”.

Charlotte Light Rail Propaganda
October 25, 2005

Can you say, "Propaganda"?

“I would love to see the market studies on this. "Young professionals" in 20 years? Who did they interview? Four year olds? "Yes, I want to ride on the train, Mommy."”

“Seriously, there is no basis in reality of people demanding light rail and wanting to live in "transit villages". I regularly see San Jose, California's all but empty light rail system. Even during rush hour it is at best half-full. And the San Jose downtown is almost a ghost town. "Rush hour" is a 15-minute flurry of cars. No one wants to live in uptown and light rail has done nothing to increase it.”

Feds say 'No Thanks' to invite to join $5 billion Dulles Rail Boondoggle
Posted Thu, 2008-01-24 14:24

"The Feds have turned down the request from Virginia politicians for financial support for the controversial $5 billion Dulles Rail project proposed for the median of the Dulles Toll Road and Dulles Greenway. US Secretary of Transportation Mary Peters told the Virginia governor Timothy Kaine and other northern Virginia politicians today in a meeting on Capitol Hill today. The thumbs down was formally announced in a four page letter to Gov Kaine by the head of the Federal Transit Administration James S Simpson."
